In the nineteenth century, the Swahili house was established and utilized as an Indian merchant house. In the 125 years that followed, the structure became the residence of one of Zanzibar’s numerous sultan dynasties. Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel is with Elegant trees shade the numerous pathways at Ras Nungwi, providing gentle sun-dappled walks between the beach and the banda. There is a balcony and a bar. The hotel’s deck-level swimming pool is surrounded by blue glass mosaic tiles and offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.

Interiors are tastefully furnished in an ethnic style, with native textiles like as khangas, kikois, and kitenges being used to great effect. Through the numerous private resting spaces, both indoors and out, these textiles create an exquisite motif of cushioned ease.

The hotel is situated on the site of an old Arab house that was purchased by UMCA missionaries in 1871 to create a girls’ school. The hotel is an excellent starting point for visiting Stone Town. The finely furnished interiors, dubbed las colores because of their pleasant blend of gentle colors (greens, yellows, oranges, grape fruit), are tastefully adorned and have ensuite bathrooms with a double basin, two al fresco showers, and a bathtub.
